Crown reduction is generally carried out when a tree outgrows the position in which it has been planted. The tree crown is reduced by shortening the branch system by approximately 10-30% maintaining a balanced shape throughout.
Crown Lifting is the removal of lower branches to increase the clearance between the ground and the crown. This can be useful to allow access and prevent any obstructions.
Crown Thinning is carried out to reduce the density of a trees branch system. This is done with the removal of branches within the crown which will enhance the shape and balance and increase light to the area.
Chartfords Trees is a well-established local Tree Surgery company serving Oxted and the surrounding areas in all aspects of Arboriculture.
